Terms of service

The agreement between your business and Diwaan, in plain language.

Working draft
Working draft, not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This page describes how Diwaan works in its first pilot, by invitation. It will be replaced by reviewed text, and account owners will be told when that happens.

Agreement

These terms are between Diwaan and the business that signs up with an invitation. By creating an account, you accept them on behalf of your business. If you do not agree, do not use Diwaan.

Your account

  • Give accurate details when you sign up and keep them up to date.
  • Keep sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what your staff do.
  • Give each person their own sign-in or PIN, so the record shows who did what.

Your records

Your business owns the records it keeps in Diwaan. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service. You can ask for an export of them at any time.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for meeting the accounting and tax rules that apply to your business. Every sale record says "Sale record, not a tax receipt". Diwaan does not give legal, tax or accounting advice.

Acceptable use

Do not use Diwaan to break the law, to store information you have no right to hold, to attack or overload the service, or to try to reach other businesses' records. We may suspend an account that does, and we will tell you why.

Ending

Either side may end the pilot at any time. Your business can still ask for an export of its records afterwards.
